TCLC News - October 29, 2026
This week: Pastor Kay leads worship November 1, Gifts of Love collections begin, and sign up for the November 15 Thanksgiving Potluck.

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!
Here is a look at what’s happening at Triumphant Cross Lutheran Church this week.
A Word for This Week
Now you, if you call yourself a Jew; if you rely on the law and boast in God; if you know his will and approve of what is superior because you are instructed by the law; if you are convinced that you are a guide for the blind, a light for those who are in the dark, an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of little children, because you have in the law the embodiment of knowledge and truth— you, then, who teach others, do you not teach yourself?…
Gracious God, you see past what is outward and look upon the heart.
When we are quick to instruct others, turn us first to your Word, that we might be taught by it ourselves.
Write your law on our hearts by your Spirit, so that our faith is not only something we say but something we live, and let our praise come from you alone. Amen.
Gifts of Love Begins This Sunday — November 1
Every Sunday in November, the children of Triumphant Cross will be collecting loose change and paper bills for Lutheran World Relief Gifts of Love. Their goal is farm animals for families in need: $80 sends a hen and chicks, and $100 sends a goat. Collections are November 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29, so check under the couch cushions and bring your change this Sunday! Learn more in Gifts of Love: How Your Spare Change Can Give a Family a Goat.
Thanksgiving Potluck — November 15
Join us for our Thanksgiving Potluck on Sunday, November 15, following worship. Come give thanks together around the table with your church family. A sign-up sheet is in the Fellowship Hall, so please add your name and the dish you plan to bring.
Fall Back This Weekend
Daylight saving time ends early Sunday morning, November 1. Remember to set your clocks back one hour Saturday night so you don’t arrive an hour early for Sunday School!
