Interfaith Thanksgiving Service in Dothan: All Are Welcome Nov. 18
Join neighbors of many faiths for an interfaith Thanksgiving service in Dothan on Wednesday, November 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Episcopal Church of the Nativity.

Before the turkey and the football, there is a chance to pause and give thanks together. This year’s interfaith Thanksgiving service in Dothan will be held on Wednesday, November 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Episcopal Church of the Nativity. Everyone is welcome to attend.
A Community Gathered in Gratitude
An interfaith service is a rare and beautiful thing. People from different congregations and traditions set aside a single evening to sit side by side and say the same simple words: thank you. Gratitude is something every person of faith understands, and Thanksgiving gives us a natural reason to share it as neighbors.
As the psalmist says, “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name” (Psalm 100:4). There is no better way to begin the holiday season than by doing exactly that, together.
Our Partners at the Episcopal Church of the Nativity
This year’s host, the Episcopal Church of the Nativity, is celebrating 120 years of ministry in Dothan. It is also one of our closest partners. The Episcopal Church is in full communion with the ELCA, which means our two churches recognize each other’s baptism, ministry, and place at the Lord’s table. You can read more about what that means, and meet the other full communion congregations in town, in our post on churches in Dothan.
For members of Triumphant Cross, attending the interfaith Thanksgiving service at Nativity is a chance to worship alongside friends we already count as family in Christ, and to meet many more neighbors from across the Wiregrass.
