A Word for This Week
I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength. Yet it was good of you to share in my troubles.
Gracious God, Paul reminds us that true contentment is not found in our circumstances but in you alone. As we enter this week, help us to trust in the strength that only Christ provides — in seasons of plenty and in seasons of need. May we carry open hearts, ready to share in one another’s troubles and joys as your people gathered here in Dothan. Bind us together in the peace that surpasses all understanding. Amen.

- Prayers for the Church, 6:00 PM — Lord, gather us in prayer this evening; may the intercessions we offer flow from grateful hearts and draw us closer together as your people.
Sunday, August 2
- Sunday School, 8:45 AM — Send your Holy Spirit to guide our teachers and students as they open your Word together; may each person grow in knowledge and love of you.
- Worship, 10:00 AM — Bless Howard as he leads us in Word and proclamation; may all who gather be drawn closer to Christ and strengthened in faith.
- Fellowship, 11:00 AM — Thank and bless those who prepare and share this potluck meal; may our time around the table deepen our bonds as a family of faith.
